The most anticipated game of 2021, Cyberpunk 2077 also became the most controversial title of the year.
The game had many bugs and got taken down from the PS Store for about 6 months to fix the issues. It returned in June and since then has witnessed a steady growth in user base but the profits are not up to par.
This news comes as a welcome wave. The new expansion could give Cyberpunk 2077 a strong push that it most certainly needs.
Chief Executive Adam Kicinski said, “There are some great things planned for this title. I hope you’ll like them all.
Work on Cyberpunk 2077 will continue for as long as possible in order to regain the trust we lost”.
The game recently received the 1.3 updates and things are looking up from here on.
It features Hollywood star Keanu Reeves and takes place in Night City, an open world set in the Cyberpunk universe.
The company did not reveal any information on how many units of the game were sold to date but did state that it was one of the leading sources of revenue.

Many players believe that the game has too many issues to be fixed and the developers should work on them rather than an expansion.
Though some pointed out that an expansion may provide a perfect distraction while the makers recondition the initial code.
A revenue report established that Cyberpunk 2077 along with The Witcher 3 drove CD Projekt’s income 29% higher in the first half of this year.
The company bagged around PLN 480 million with profit being close to 105 million. A good number to see after such a destructive launch.
The expansion would involve a charge similar to the ones for The Witcher.
The CD Projekt team has already released about 10 patches for the game which has raised the selling cost to PLN 131 million from PLN 71 million last year.
Developers are planning to launch the next-gen versions for both Cyberpunk and Witcher soon.
A JP Morgan analyst stated that as there are very few next-generation versions of current quality games available in the market, CP77 may become the best-selling title!

There are 150 developers working on it and 70 more new titles.
For people who are new to the whole scene, Cyberpunk 2077 can be played in a first-person perspective where the players control a character named V, a mercenary whose voice, face type, hair fashion, body structure, and apparel are customizable.
The maneuvers include taking cover, aiming, running, jumping, double jumping, and sliding.
