Nvidia GeForce RTX 4080: Specs, Price & Release date

This article covers the release date, specifications, and pricing for the pair of RTX 4080 GPUs.Both of these GPUs are built on Nvidia’s latest Ada Lovelace architecture. These cards are high in efficiency and performance if compared to the previous generation of cards. All thanks to the TSMC’s N4 production process. 

Though both cards share the RTX 4080 name, they are very different regarding their internals and not just down to the amount of GDDR6X VRAM they sport.

The GeForce RTX 4090 will be first released on October 12, followed by the pair of GeForce RTX 4080s in November. Find out the details and full specs of these GPUs below.

Release Date

GeForce RTX 4080 (12 GB) and The GeForce RTX 4080 (16 GB ) cards are predicted to be released in November. Yet there is no exact date and time revealed by the company. 

On October 12 RTX 4090 hit the shelves after we can expect a firmer date for the GeForce RTX 4080 (12 GB) and GeForce 4080 (16 GB).

There is a lot of difference between the RTX 4080 (12 GB) and the RTX 4080 (16 GB) like the memory type.RTX 4080 (12 GB) has CUDA cores of 7680 and RTX 4080 (16 GB) has CUDA cores of 9728. which is a huge difference.

This is a completely different situation from the previous generation from the last generation’s RTX 3080 12 GB and RTX 3080 10 GB GPU was released at the start of the year, which had  8960 cores and 8704  respectively.

Price

The GeForce RTX 4080 16 GB with a price of $1,199.Whereas, the GeForce RTX 3080 (10 GB) launched at $699 but later on the price was reduced to $500. With improved overclocking chops and cooling options, plenty of cards can be expected to cost more than this.
